    Everything from picking out your new puppy, to training, feeding, enrichment, grooming, exercise, living with senior dogs, and everything in between. Zazie has read all the research papers and interviewed all the experts and distilled their information into a very readable format. This is an “every dog owner should read this” recommendation.   • Train Your Dog Like A Pro - Jean Donaldson

    Easy to understand instructions for teaching all the basics from a real pro. Jean’s writing is understandable and you’ll be in very good hands. You can buy it here.

  • The Culture Clash - Jean Donaldson

    This is the book that got me hooked on dog training. Even though it can be a wee-bit technical in a few spots, I encourage dog owners to read it if they’d like to really understand their dog and how they learn. You can buy it here.

  • Dog Care for Puppies - Vanessa Charbonneau

    Subtitaled, “A Guide to Feeding, Playing, Grooming, and Behavior” this is the book to start with for first-time puppy parents. You can buy it here.

  • Life Skills for Puppies - Helen Zulch and Daniel Mills

    Getting dogs off to a good start is really important. This book offers great advice for your new addition. You can buy it here.

  • Mine! A Practical Guide to Resource Guarding in Dogs - Jean Donaldson

    Growling or even biting when you approach your dog when they have something valuable (like a bully stick, a favorite toy, a favorite spot on the couch, or even their food bowl) is a behavior that can be modified. You can buy it here.

  • Bravo Dog Podcast

    Renée Erdman’s podcast is a nice mix of information for trainers and pet owners. You can download just the podcasts which interest you, of course. I enjoy the variety of topics and guests and Renée’s information is solid. You can find it wherever you download podcasts.

  • Crate Games by Susan Garret
